WGC’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Commitment & Resources for Members
Wine Growers Canada (WGC) released its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Framework (French version can be found here) in March 2021, following expert input from member wineries, our Board of Directors and individuals with dedicated expertise in HR and in promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace on WGC’s Diversity Working Group.
Wine Growers Canada’s longstanding vision is to be ‘an inclusive, accessible, knowledgeable and responsive organization committed to sustainable domestic and international success for the Canadian wine industry’. This vision and WGC’s values are a driving force behind the creation of the DE&I Framework. Diverse teams in the workplace mean a range of skill sets and backgrounds, which can provide considerable value-add, leveraging fresh insights on business challenges and opportunities.
Through the provision of resources to our member wineries on diversity, equity and inclusion, WGC endeavours to assist wineries with diverse talent attraction and retention to support business growth.
